Learn both the science and the business of Agriculture in UMPI’s Ag Science program, the only one of its kind in New England. You’ll train in the lab, in the field, and in UMPI’s state-of-the-art teaching and research greenhouse. And you’ll connect with members of the region’s ag industry as you solve real-world agricultural issues through the research projects you undertake.
Get hands-on and in the classroom experiences starting your very first semester with UMPI’s Education program. All students complete 90 hours of field experience before they student teach, and have opportunities to deliver community-based activities, such as family literacy nights and after school programs. Already have a Bachelor’s degree? We offer a Canadian Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Education route.
Nursing is not just a career, it’s a calling. With the BSN program (offered by UMFK on the UMPI campus), you'll begin taking nursing classes your first semester. Find the specific type of nursing you’d like to do by getting a taste of everything! With over 600 clinical hours and 240 one-on-one precepted hours, there is no shortage of clinical experiences.
Accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE), which is recognized by the Canadian Association of Social Work, UMPI's Social Work program prepares students through course work, field practicums, service learning, and volunteering efforts. Canadian students have the option to complete practicums in Canada, and upon graduation, students are eligible to apply for licensure in the US or Canada.
